Every story begins somewhere. Ours began in Nepal and Poland, places that have shaped us through their traditions and cultures.
We create our garments in Nepal, where working with cashmere has long been part of the local craft tradition. It is one of the world's most valued natural textile fibres. We design in Poland, combining clean, understated design with the craftsmanship of Nepal. The connection between these two perspectives defines our brand.
Our Approach
DES MONTS was born from a simple idea – we wanted to create the clothing we had been looking for ourselves. Made from natural materials, comfortable, and versatile enough to complement any wardrobe. Designed for everyday wear and crafted to last for years, not just a single season.
We create slowly and in small quantities. From the initial design, through the selection of yarns, colours, and knit structures, to the final finishing, every stage takes time, testing, and refinement before we consider it ready for production.
Beyond the Product
Cashmere garments are not the only focus of our brand. We also want to share the culture and everyday life of Nepal, presenting the country through the perspective of its people and the traditions that have shaped local craftsmanship for generations.
Producing in Nepal is a natural choice for us. It is a place where working with cashmere has long been part of the local heritage, and where the knowledge and skills behind this craft are deeply rooted.
For us, Nepal is more than a place of production. It is part of our brand's story – one we also want to tell through images, sound, and collaborations with local creators. When creating our visual and artistic content, we work with people who live and create in Nepal, so that the perspective of this place is reflected in the way we present our brand.
